Mandatory Statutory Training

As an ethical recruiter, we require all agency staff to meet basic requirements to be cleared for work and placed on assignments, these include the following CSTF aligned practical training courses, which need to be completed on an annual basis to remain compliant with our clients' requirements.  

Life Support

Basic Life Support (BLS) training in the UK includes a variety of techniques and skills intended to equip individuals with the necessary knowledge and abilities to respond effectively in emergency situations. The training commonly covers essential components such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), as well as the usage of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and other critical life-saving equipment. Its purpose is to ensure individuals are well-prepared to act promptly and appropriately during emergencies, thereby increasing the likelihood of saving lives.

Immediate Life Support (ILS) training is required for all qualified mental health staff. All clinically trained staff (doctors, registered nurses, and midwives), who deliver or are involved in rapid tranquilisation, physical restraint and seclusion are to be trained in ILS. You can complete either or both neonatal life support and adult life support courses.

Moving and Handling 

Moving and handling training encompasses a range of techniques and practices aimed at ensuring the safe movement, handling, and care of individuals in various settings. It holds particular significance within the healthcare sector, where the risk of injury resulting from improper manual handling techniques is a concern. As a prerequisite for registered agency staff, completion of practical training is mandatory before being assigned to any shifts.
