Steps to register to work with Nursing Services of the UK 

1. To work for us and access shifts, click here to register. Your browser will take you to www.staffshift.com. Accept the policies and click “Submit”. 

2. Check your inbox and click the confirmation email link to complete the “My Details” section of your profile, and upload your supporting documents in Staffshift. Here’s how. 

3. The Compliance Team will process your documents. This is a step-by-step guide to how our clearance process works. 

4. Complete your in-person or Teams interview. How does the interview process work? 

5. Once you are cleared to work by achieving Basic Compliance, you will be able to access shifts near you. For advice and answers for agency workers working for the A24Group, refer to our Help Centre.  

What supporting documents are required to register for work? 

The more complete and comprehensive your supporting documents are, the faster we can clear you for work. NSUK is an ethical recruiter; we believe in doing things right, the first time. This ensures we deliver industry-leading services to agency staff and patients alike.  

Upload your supporting documents via www.staffshift.com, the Staffshift app, or send them to our Compliance Team via WhatsApp Chat Number 0772 3559 602. 

• A recent, updated copy of your CV  

• A valid Right to Work in the UK - check your requirements here 

• Proof of your professional qualifications 

• Proof of registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)  

• Your vaccination history  

• Police clearance certificate, PVG or DBS – find out how the process works 

• A recent, ID size photograph of yourself 

• PAYE tax number 

• And any additional training certificates you may have, e.g.: 

  • Basic life support 

  • Patient moving and handling 

  • BILS accreditation 

  • And restraint training 

How long will it take for me to be able to apply to nursing jobs in the UK? 

Once you start your registration process, you are able to download the Staffshift app, and you will immediately be able to browse available shifts near you. You will only be able to actively apply and express interest once you have reached our basic compliance level. This can take as little as 48-hours (about 2 days) from the moment we receive the last of your required documents.  

The best advice is to collect your documents prior to your registration, so that they can be completed and submitted to compliance as soon as possible for verification.

What happens after your registration is complete? 

Once you have completed your Staffshift profile, and provided your documents and been cleared to work, there are a few more processes in place to support you: 

• Firstly, we recommend downloading the Staffshift app, which will allow you to: 

  • Update your availability to work within the Calendar feature 

  • Monitor your compliance status via the Compliance Passport 

  • Browse available nursing jobs, and apply directly from the app 

  • And lastly, you can use the in-app chat to liaise with our teams 24/7 

• Please check the A24Group uniform policy  

• Access over training at discounted rates - we help with Revalidation and the more you learn, the more you can earn 

• Use the eligibility notices in the Staffshift app to identify training opportunities, and potentially earn more per shift
